Willa Dean Parks Marsh

Willa Dean Parks Marsh, age 79, of Asheboro died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Marsh was born in Randolph County on July 20, 1936 to Paul and Myrtie Parks. Dean was retired from Energizer and was a member of Faith Alliance Church. In addition to her parents, Dean was preceded in death by her sister Ruby Martin and brother Henry Parks. She was a talented floral designer, was known for her cakes, and loved working in her flowers and yard at her home. Dean was a loving wife and mother, but her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She loved her church family and singing in the choir. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Bobby E. Marsh; son, Bobby Ray Marsh and wife Kathy of Seagrove; grandchildren, Charity Chriscoe and husband Jamie of Seagrove, Joel Marsh and wife Morgan of Randleman, Jessica Marsh of Wilmington; great granddaughter, Madison Chriscoe; brother, Ray Parks and wife Vivian of Asheboro; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garry L. Reeder officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
