Wesley Horace Fields, age 95, of Franklinville died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Fields was a native of Randolph County and retired from J.P. Stevens. Wesley was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, bee keeping, rabbit hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Wood Fields.
He is survived by five daughters: Linda Swaim and her husband Jim of Asheboro, Susan Fields and her husband George of Silver Springs, MA., Annette Ferguson and her husband William of Asheboro, Lisa Fields of Randleman, Anita McKee and her husband Tony of Asheboro; four sons: Wallace Fields and his wife Judy of Lexington, Eddie Fields and his wife Brenda of Asheboro, Ronnie Fields and his wife Ellen of Randleman, and Samuel Fields of Franklinville; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at his home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville with Rev. Barry Wall and Rev. Pat Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
