Weldon Clifford "Cliff" Tilley, age 95, formerly of Randleman passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Tilley was born in Guilford County on August 18, 1922 to William Ira and Lacy Daisy Edwards Tilley. During WWII Cliff worked as a welder at the shipyard in Wilmington. He was retired from Carolina Steel. He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church. Cliff was a former Boy Scout Leader and a former member of the Randleman Rotary Club. He was also a former member of the Level Cross Civitan Club and helped to create the Level Cross Community Center. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca R. Tilley, son, Edward L. Tilley, sisters, Thelma Wilson and Mamie Crotts, and brother, William "Bill" Tilley.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Marley and husband Reid of Siler City; granddaughter, Rita Rene' Marley-McKenzie and husband Shawn; great grandchildren, Alexander McKenzie and Makani McKenzie; brother, Jack Tilley of Randleman; and sister, Doris Simmons of Marietta, GA.
A private burial was held.
