Wayne Lambert

Winford Wayne Lambert, age 86, of Asheboro died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his home. Mr. Lambert was born March 10, 1930 in Robbins, NC to Joe Comer and Guitie Williamson Lambert. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Black and Decker. Mr. Lambert was a member of Fayetteville Stree Baptist Church for 61 years. He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith Lambert; daughter, Deborah Blice and husband Chris of Pittsboro; sons, Eddie Wayne Lambert and wife Karen of Asheboro, Steven Mark Lambert and wife Julie of Franklinville; grandchildren, Colby Lambert and wife Michelle, Trevor Lambert, Megan Blice, Elizabeth Messick, John Messick and wife Sarah; great granddaughter, Ava Grace Messick; sisters, Delores Garner and husband Bud of High Falls, Louise Martin and husband Benny of Monroe; brother, Richard Lambert and wife Betty of Archdale. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
