Wayne Dennis

Max Wayne Dennis, age 62, of 1563 Wilson Lane, Asheboro died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Dennis was born August 7, 1948 in Pinehurst, NC the son of the late Max and the late Edie Marie Smith Dennis. Wayne had a passion for Gospel music, served as choir director of Liberty Hill Baptist Church for several years and sang throughout the community in his service to Christ. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seagrove and a longtime employee of Hunsucker Printing Company. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Anna Rochelle Dennis in March, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Wanda W. Dennis; son, Jason Dennis and his wife Breann Aswell Dennis of Leland; sister, Glenda Dennis of Elkin. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00-9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Seagrove with Rev. Jimmy Austin and Rev. Eugene Ridley officiating.
