Waymon Vance Pugh, Sr.

Waymon Vance Pugh, Sr. age 74, of 6973 Troy Caviness Rd., Ramseur died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Pugh was a native of Randolph County and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture and was formerly employed with the Randolph County Sheriff Department. Waymon enjoyed fishing, golf, and working. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jean Pugh of the home; son, Vance Pugh and his wife Mitzi of Ramseur; granddaughter, Candice Cox of Ramseur; great granddaughter, Kaegan Cox of Ramseur; stepchildren, Shaun Hanson, Adric Hanson, and David Hanson all of Ramseur; brother, Wiley Vernon Pugh and his wife Martha of Siler City; sister, Susan White and her husband Terry of Trinity; and beloved dog, Sandy Lou. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
