Wanda Ann Clutter Tonkin, age 72, of 2514 Woodfield Dr., Randleman died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Tonkins was a native of West Virginia and retired from the furniture business. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. Wanda was a hard worker and loved raising children. She enjoyed fishing, planting flowers and spending time with her family. "May she rest in peace, we love you mom".
She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Delmas Tonkin of the home, children: Jetty Allred and her husband Gary of Trinity, Anna McMahan and her husband Ronnie of Trinity, Timothy "Byrd" Clutter of Randleman, Wesley "Hoss" Clutter of Sophia, David Clutter of Sophia, and Bobby "Froggy" Tonkin of Level Cross; grandchildren, Wesley Clutter, Dustin McMahan, Charlie Bryant, Zachary Welborn, Heather Tonkin, Hilliary Tonkin, Hollie Tonkin, Emily Davis and Kendra McMahan; great grandchildren, Issiah, Haydan, Landon, Trevor, Cameron, Kylah, McKenzie, Phoebe Rose, and Cassidy; sisters: Eval Carter and her husband Dennis of Archdale, Rita Greene and her husband Buddy of WVA and Connie Sweatt and her husband Buddy of Asheboro.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Gospel Tabernacle, 2007 Fuller Mill Rd., Thomasville. The family will receive friends at the home of Jetty Allred, 4163 Valley Ridge Drive, Trinity. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Randolph Hospice House for their outstanding care.
