Wanda Mozelle Lemons, age 66, of Mt Gilead died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Pugh-Troy Funeral Home Chapel, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Rev. Carl Moree officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.
Ms. Lemons was born in Montgomery County on June 5, 1947 to Samuel Moody and Mozelle Hurley Lemons, who preceded her in death. Wanda was 1965 graduate of West Montgomery High School and received her Phlebotomist license in Atlanta, GA. She was a member of White Crest Baptist Church. She was retired as a Phlebotomist and was the owner/operator of Lake Tillery Camp Sites. Wanda loved the river and traveling, especially going to Aruba with Tracy. She had a love for all animals, especially her Pomeranian, Rocket Man.
She is survived by her companion of 12 years, Tracy Burgess of the home; brothers, Moody Lemons, Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Tommy Lemons of Troy; half sisters, Cindy Keal of Flovilla, GA, Ann Lemons of Raleigh; half brother, Burke Lemons of Chapel Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
