Wan Clinard Hunt

Wan C. Hunt, age 77, of 1992 Hunt Delk Rd., Denton died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at his home Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 7594 Jackson Creek Rd., Denton with Rev. Karen Smith and Dr. Bonnie Preston Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Hunt attended Farmer High School and was retired from the City of Asheboro after 25 years of service. He was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church for 69 years and was preceded in death by his parents, B. L. "Pud" and Bettie Welborn Hunt. Mr. Hunt loved the outdoors, gardening, his church and his family. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Cashatt Hunt; daughter, Tamara L. Hunt of Greensboro, NC; brothers and their wives, Olan and Golden Hunt of Asheboro, NC, Crowson and Jackie Hunt of Thomasville, NC; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; 3 great nephews and 1 great niece. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Randolph Hospital Capital Campaign, Cancer Center, P.O.
