Walter Robert Beane

Walter Robert Beane, 91, of Asheboro died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

He was born in Randolph County on Dec. 14, 1925 to Robert and Effie Beane. Walter was a quiet man, gifted in mechanics with an ability to fix just about anything. He worked at Bossong Hosiery Mills, Inc. for 47 years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Mae Cox Beane of the home, son Rev. Mark C. Beane and his wife, Dr. Bette Beane of Asheboro, grandson Joshua Beane of Sendai, Japan, sister, Minnie Needham of Asheboro and brother, Billy Beane and wife Snowdene of Asheboro. Walter was preceded in death by sister, Ethel Shirley of Asheboro, and three brothers, Talton Beane, Roy Beane, and Jack Beane each of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro.

The funeral service will be held at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May, 8, 2017 with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
