Wallace Jack Hurley

Wallace Jack Hurley, age 79, of Asheboro died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Hurley was a native of Montgomery County and retired from Randolph Hospital after 36 years of service. He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. Mr. Hurley was a kind, loving, generous and dependable man. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening and making pottery. Mr. Hurley was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Hurley. He is survived by his wife, Joan Rush Hurley; son, Alan Hurley and wife Phyllis of Asheboro; sisters, Merle Harris of Troy, Barbara Morris and husband David of Mt Gilead; special cousin, Rachel Callicutt of Troy. The family will receive friends Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Oakhurst Baptist Church, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church Parking Lot Fund, 2225 South Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27205.
