Wade Daniel Pugh

Wade Daniel Pugh, age 80, of 4671 Beeson Farm Road, Sophia died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2010, at 11:00 am at Marlboro Friends Meeting with Rev. John H. Sides and Dr. Bob Medford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Pugh was a native of Randolph County, a 1947 graduate of Asheboro High School and a U. S. Army veteran. He was retired from Fashion Fabrics/Quality Blind and Awning after 50 years of service. Mr. Pugh was a charter member of the New Market Civitan Club and a member of Marlboro Friends Meeting where he was a former elder and treasurer of the Quaker Men. He was an avid sports fan, a friend to all and had never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife, Marie Beeson Pugh; son and his wife, Craig Beeson Pugh and Susan Pugh of Statesville; daughters and their husbands, Jan Pugh Dough and Dr. Bob Dough of Asheboro, Debbie Pugh Allen and Todd Allen of Franklinville, Lisa Pugh Hamilton and Dennis Hamilton of Sophia; grandchildren, Scott Graham and his wife Jessica, Kelly Pugh, Daniel Pugh, Laura Roberts and her husband Kyle, Robert Dough, Kara Dough, Dexter Allen, Sarah Allen, Spencer Hamilton, Kendal Hamilton; great grandchildren, Addie and Paisley Graham; brothers, Odell Pugh of Asheboro, Theodore (Bun) Pugh of Sophia; sister: Phyllis Allen of Ramseur. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Marlboro Friends Meeting, P.O.
