Wade Burton Lassiter

Wade Burton Lassiter, age 93, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Lassiter was born June 1, 1920, the son of Lloyd F. Lassiter and wife, Ottie Mae Hughes Lassiter. Mr. Lassiter was a native of Candor, NC and a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. He was formerly employed as a pharmacist with Fox Drug Store of Asheboro and Anderson Drug Store of High Point. Mr. Lassiter was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lassiter was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Lee Cox Lassiter; sisters: Olga, Mary Ruth, Juanita and brothers: Dwight, John and Clifford. He is survived by two daughters: Judy L. Bell of Henderson, NC, Sue Ellen L. Lee of Oxford, NC; grandchildren: Jill C. Renigar of Wilmington, NC; John C. Renigar of Raleigh, NC; Kimberley Anne Moyer of Grand Junction, CO; William C. Tatum of Asheville, NC; great-grandchildren: Michaela Ann Boone of Wilmington, NC, Hazel Brook Renigar of Raleigh, NC; Blake Moyer, Austin Moyer and Mandy Moyer all of Grand Junction, CO. The Lassiter family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev's. Ken and Pat Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
