W.R. Cox

William Russell "W.R." Cox, age 87, formerly of 208 Hawthorne Dr., Asheboro died Friday, October 5, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Crowell and Rev. George W. Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Cox was a native of Randolph County and was retired from Bossong Hosiery after 46 years of service. He was a member of New Union United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his wife Mavine Matthews Cox. He is survived by his sons, Russell Cox and his wife Delores of Greensboro, NC, Jimmie Cox and his wife Cynthia of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Melissa, David, and Eric Cox and Kim Farmer; 7 great grandchildren; and sister Lorethia Cox Farlow of Asheboro, NC.
