Walter Carroll "Dub" Auman, Jr., age 94, of Asheboro died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Auman was born April 8, 1923 in Seagrove to Walter and Edna Trogdon Auman. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Harvestfield Baptist Church in Asheboro. W.C. was the retired co/owner and operator of Seagrove Motor Company. In addition to his parents W. C. was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Cagle Auman, daughter, Sandra Auman Needham, sister, Martha Auman Ridenhour and brother, James Lacy Auman.
He is survived by daughter, Brenda Auman Edwards and husband Clinton of Asheboro; son-in-law, Charles Needham of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tammy Guffey and husband Brian of Thomasville, Wayne Edwards of Asheboro, Bernard Needham and wife Terri of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Zachary and Corey Needham of Asheboro, Reagan Edwards of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Faron Overton and Rev. Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
