Vivian Gwyn Barnes

Vivian Gwyn Barnes, age 60, of 2534 Woodfield Drive, Sophia died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Barnes was born April 30, 1951 in Guilford County, NC, the daughter of William E. and Ellen Collins Gwyn. Mrs. Barnes was a native of Guilford County, a homemaker and was formerly employed with H & M Grocery. Vivian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by one son; Darren L. Ball, her parents; William and Ellen Gwyn and two brothers; Philip Gwyn and Jack Gwyn. She is survived by her husband: Willie Barnes, four daughters: Susan S. Warr of Randleman, Tammy Y. Kenyon and her husband, David of Asheboro, Donna B. Holland and her husband, Charlie of Trinity and Karen B. Marsh and her husband, Jimmy of Archdale, five sons: Michael A. Stanley and his wife, Roberta of Elkin, Robert T. Barnes of Sophia, Terry W. Barnes of Asheboro, Jason Y. Barnes and his wife, Dana of Asheboro and Ricky D. Ball of High Point; one sister: Sandra Lee of Greensboro, two brothers: Tommy Gwyn and his wife, Lania of Conway, SC, James "Jimmy" Gwyn and Freddie Gwyn both of Greensboro, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. No memorial service is planned.
