Virginia "Marie" Saunders

RANDLEMAN; Virginia "Marie" Saunders, age 80, of Randleman died Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Ms. Saunders was born April 28, 1939 the daughter of Anderson and Anna Cardwell Saunders.Marie was a native of Guilford County and a member of Deliverance Tabernacle in Archdale. She was a good Christian lady who loved her family, gospel music and singing. Marie retired from Milltown Furniture, Inc. in Randleman and enjoyed traveling. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her daughter,Theresa Brown, son, Todd Jordan, grandchild, Dalton Bailey, brother, Willie Saunders, sisters, Penny and Mary Saunders.

She is survived by her sons: Ken Brown and wife Shelly of Randleman, and Jeff Brown of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jessilynn Brown, Dane Brown, Zade Brown, Terri Needham, Ben Needham; 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Parrish and husband Lawson of Randleman, Joyce Freeman of Asheboro, Viola Parrish and husband Wayne of Randleman and Rosa Stamey and husband Roy of Franklinville; brothers: David Saunders of Asheboro and George Saunders and wife Rhonda of Asheboro; special canine companion, Miracle.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 9 at 11:00 am at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
