Virginia Jean Lamb

Virginia Jean Frye Lamb, age 80, of 184 Scaleybark Lane, Robbins died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church of Seagrove, 7418 US Highway 220 Business South, Asheboro with Rev. Larry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lamb was a native of Richmond County, was retired from Moll Industries and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.C. Lamb and Herbert "Doc" Richardson, one son, Donald Lamb and two daughters, Brenda Mitchell and Betty Smith. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Richardson and his wife Debbie of Nebo, NC; Jackie Richardson and his wife Lois of Seagrove, NC; Edward R. Lamb of Trinity, NC; daughters, Jo Anne Simpson and her husband Tommy of Asheboro, NC; Pat Beck of Lexington, NC; Tina Jenkins and her husband Arnold of Randleman, NC; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Garrison of Carrollton, GA; special friend, Brewster Beane of Asheboro, NC; beloved dogs, Sassy And Susie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Jo Anne and Tommy Simpson, 326 Greenvale Rd., Asheboro.
