Virginia Collins Boyd

Virginia Collins Boyd, age 84, formerly of 4444 Bowman Ave. Randleman died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Boyd was born October 31, 1925 the daughter of Norman and Ella Hale Buckner. Mrs. Boyd was a native of Max Meadow, Virginia, a member of First Wesleyan Church, Randleman and retired from Klaussner. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Nelice Boyd, a daughter: Rose Boyd and a sister: Sis Coughlin. She is survived by daughters, Susan Lundy and her husband, Lloyd of Asheboro, NC; Robin Davis and her husband, Robert of Randleman, NC;sons: Kenneth Boyd; Arnold Boyd and his wife, Vickie; Robert Boyd and his wife, Brenda all of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Norma Jean Posante, Pat Spore, Ella Mae Winnen all of OH; Maxine Tilley of GA, Stella Jones of Mt. Airy, NC, Christine Logan of WA, Judy Pichta of IL; brothers: Pete Buckner of Michigan, Jerry Buckner of VA, John Buckner of Oh. and Bud Buckner of FL. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at hte home of Robin Davis, 5061 Smoke Wood Rd., Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 125 Tabernacle St., Randleman with Rev. Don Hurlburt and Rev. Jerry Buckner officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 125 Tabernacle St., Randleman, NC 27317 Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman is serving the family.
