Violet Smith

Violet Davis Smith, age 86, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in Pinehurst. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 3:30 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Phelps officiating. Mrs. Smith was a native of Halifax County, VA and a member of Central Falls Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and quilting. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis S. Williams and her husband George of Cameron; Judy Davis, who was like a daughter, and her husband Kent of Franklinville; brother, Earl Davis and his wife Diana of VA; sister, Mammie Womack of VA; grandchildren, Danny Davis of Cameron, Susan Davis of Lillington, Donna Carroll and her husband John of Fayetteville, Janet Riggs and her husband Sean of Concord, Aundrea Lamb of Asheboro, George Williams, Jr. and his wife Jill of Charleston, SC, Duane Williams of Hickory, Carina Williams of Vass; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, May 14, 2010 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
