Viola Thompson

Viola Wilson Thompson, age 91, of Thickety Creek Rd., Mt. Gilead died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe. Mrs. Thompson was born March 20, 1924 in Richmond County, NC the daughter of John and Lilly Epps Wilson. She was a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, J.C. Thompson; brothers and sisters: James Wilson, Cub Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Alice Arrington and Margaret Fulp. She is survived by three sons: Colburn Thompson and wife Gail of Mt Gilead, Bradley Reid Thompson and wife, Cheryl of Mt. Gilead, Felix Thompson and wife, Wanda of Troy; three grandchildren: Brandon, Allison and Justin; four great-grandchildren: Kyndal, Carly, Kaylin and Nathan. The funeral will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holly Mount Baptist Church, Holly Mount Church Road, Mt. Gilead with Rev. Ben Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church immediately following the services and at her residence.
