Viola Hardy Cox

Viola Hardy Cox, age 65, of 5195 Elmont St., Archdale died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Cox was born April 30, 1947 in Guilford County to Dozier and Juanita Collins Hardy. She was a homemaker and loved to fish. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Jo Cochran. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Cox; sons, Michael Lockhart and his wife Christy of Thomasville, Trampes Cox of Archdale, Justin Cox and his wife Candace Cox of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kerri Robinson, Karen McAbee, Samantha Standly, Tyler, Sarah and Blaine Cox, Mallory and Jackson Lockhart; great grandchildren, Elie and Noah Robinson, Tinley and Lucas McAbee, Gabriel Standley; sister, Gail Alberson of Trinity; brother, Charles W. Hardy of Beacon, NY. The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Tysinger officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
