Victor Harold Burns, age 89, of 230 E. Presnell St., Asheboro died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
A native of Denver, Indiana, Mr. Burns was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and owned and operated Central Bakery in Asheboro for several years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Grace A. Burns.
He is survived by two daughters: Mary Ann Payne of Asheboro, NC, Patsy Routh Reed of Trinity, NC; three sisters: Mary Louise Day of Peru, IN, Regina Vigar of Rochester, IN, Louella Davis of Wabash, IN; two brothers: Richard Burns and Charles Edward Burns both of Denver, IN; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The cryptside funeral service will be Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park, with Rev. Rodney Otwell officiating. Entombment with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow.
The family will recieve friends at the Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave one hour prior to the service.
