Vickie Annette Oakes

Vickie Annette Oakes, age 56, of Seagrove died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ms. Oakes was a native of Chicago, IL and was formerly employed with Klaussner Furniture. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jesus Orlando Fiscal and Neli's husband German Fiscal Rodriguez. Vickie was a very loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was known as "MawMaw" to her grandchildren. She was a loving person and would give the shirt off her back and go without for all of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Hunter and husband Mitchell of Asheboro, Chasity Annette Smallwood and husband Henry Gonzales of Asheboro, Neli Rene Oakes of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chase Cruz, Victoria Spivey, Payton Spivey, Danion Spivey, Tristan Perez, Layla Perez, Benjamin Fiscal; mother, Doris Joan Bolen Oaks of Mt. Gilead; father, Billy Allen Oaks of Star; sisters, Rebecca Spivey of Mt. Gilead, Tammi Vaughn of Seagrove; and brothers, Randell Oakes and Ricky Oakes both of Seagrove and Terry Oakes of Durham. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Oakes family.
