Versie Mae Floyd

Versie Fulp Floyd, age 98, formerly of Crestview Church Rd., passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Mrs. Floyd was a native of Stokes County but lived most of her life in Randolph County. She retired from Burlington Mills, formerly Balfour Hosiery and worked at Brian Nursing Home for several years. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Tommy Floyd, son, Terrell Floyd of Asheboro, Buddy Floyd of Ramseur andJ. C. Floyd of Ellerbe. She is survived by her son, Buster Floyd and his wife Jewel of Castle Hayne; daughter, Patsy Barnes and her husband Tommy of Asheboro; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, July 27, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, other times at the home of Patsy and Tommy Barnes, 241 Madison Circle, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rv. Kenneth Symes and Rev. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Big Creek Baptist Cemetery in Westfield.
