Versie Hill Callicutt

Versie "Mae" Hill Callicutt, age 89, of 477 Flint Hill Road, Star, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Callicutt was born December 13, 1923, the daughter of Charlie Edgar and Rilla Hurley Hill. She was a former employee of Pine Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Callicutt, a son, John Oral Callicutt and twin brother, Frank Hill. She is survived by five daughters: Rebecca C. Hudson of Seagrove, Wanda Jane Callicutt, Kathy C. Lineberry, both of Asheboro, JoAnn C. Graves of Maynardville, TN, Gladys F. Harrison of Patrick, SC; two sons: Jimmy Callicutt of the home, Charlie "Buddy" Callicutt, of Star; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Troy; other times at the home of Kathy C. Lineberry, 857 Teresa Way, Asheboro. The funeral will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 am at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Chriscoe officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, Abner Community, Star.
