Vernon Willie Cagle

Vernon Willie Cagle, age 82, of Asheboro died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Cagle was a native of Seagrove and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was retired from Drexel-Heritage Furniture and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Olga Kinney Cagle of the home; sister, Mexie Smith of Asheboro, NC; nieces, Ruby Mullin of Seagrove, NC, and Denise Yow of Hickory, NC; nephews, Roy Chriscoe of Seagrove, NC, Kevin Cagle of Asheboro, NC, Harvey Cagle of Asheboro, NC, Richard Cagle of Asheboro, NC, Garry Reeder of Seagrove, NC, Terry Reeder of Asheboro, NC, and Trona Cranford of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
