Vera Mae Bell "Nicky" Hoover

Vera Mae Bell "Nicky" Hoover, age 89, of Asheboro died Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Hoover was born June 21, 1926 the daughter of Dannie F. and Mamie Parks Bell. Mrs. Hoover was a native of Randolph County and a graduate of Farmer High School. Nicky retired from Energizer and was of Quaker Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Alton Lloyd Hoover, brothers: Richard and Billy Bell and her sister: Pauline Callicutt. She is survived by 7 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews and 18 great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom dearly loved her. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ricky Sessoms and Brian Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
