Velna Craven Rose

Velna Craven Rose, age 82, of 450 Mountain Top Drive, Asheboro died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Chris Sheffield officiating. Mrs. Rose was a native of Randolph County and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rose and her sister, Ginnie Sothern. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Norma Rose and Jack Nixon of Summerfield, NC, Cathy Rose and John Cotner of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Jennifer Rose Cotner of San Francisco, CA; brother and his wife, Eugene and Barbara Craven of Ramseur, NC, brother, Lloyd Craven of Franklinville, NC; sister and her husband, Shirley and Jerry Padgett of Franklinville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
