Vellie Rachel Vuncannon

Vellie Rachel Vuncannon, 80, of Seagrove, died of natural causes May 8, 2010 at Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County, NC. Vellie was born on November 21, 1929 in Biscoe, NC to the late Eddie and Fleeta Green Vuncannon. She worked many years in the furniture industry and later worked with her brother, Paul Vuncannon, at his junkyard. Vellie was always willing to help people. She loved animals, fishing, church, and people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Fleeta Green Vuncannon; and her siblings Edward Vuncannon, Paul Vuncannon, and Melvin Vuncannon. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Vuncannon McNeill, and many friends, such as Phyllis Faulkner, Marty L. McNeill, Dot McNeill, Michael McNeill, and Charlie Forehand and family. Friends are invited to a memorial service at New Hope United Methodist Church in Seagrove, NC on Thursday, May 13, at 11:00 am with Pastor Kelly B. Ottinger officiating.
