Velinda Marie Becraft

Velinda "Lynn" Marie Wood Becraft, age 65, of Pleasant Garden died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at her home. Lynn was a native of Alamance County and graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 1968. She was formerly employed with the Guilford City Schools, then at Dow Corning in Greensboro. Her love for the outdoors, camping, fishing and boating will be remembered by the many who shared this love with her. Lynn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father: Jesse Wood, brother: Gerald "Bud" Wood, sisters: Merle Wood, Shirley Sibberson and Peggy Wood Cole. She is survived by her husband: Douglas "Randy" Becraft of the home, daughters: Tracy Patterson of Randleman, Dawn Hudson and her husband Mark of Black Mt., NC, Terrie Marable and her husband Bobby of Aiken, SC, and Marsha Becraft of Pleasant Garden; son: Christopher Becraft of Pleasant Garden; mother: Hilda Wood Whitesell of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; brothers: Johnny Wood and his wife Mary of Fl., Joel Wood and his wife Janice of MI., Mike Wood and his wife Sarah of Graham and Tim Wood and his wife Carol of Greensboro; sisters: Dot Bell and her husband James of Denton, Carolyn Champion and her husband Rex of Greensboro and Sylvia Grant of Greensboro. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A private burial will be held at a later time.
