Beloved in Christ,
It is with sadness but hope in the Resurrection that we inform you our beloved sister in Christ, Vasiliki “Koula” Hondros Kanos, age 77, passed unto the Lord on Saturday, December 21st.
Vasiliki is survived by her brother James Hondros (Elaine), and sister Maria Pappas (Jimmy); son, Dennis Kanos (Collins) and her daughter Maria Kay Kanos Phillips (James); ten grandchildren, Vickie Kanos, Patricia Welliver (Brandon), Victoria Escoto (Derik), Austin Phillips (Kayton), Katherine Kanos, Martha Phillips, Demetri Kanos, Alex Phillips, Madison Kanos and Emerson Kanos; and two great grandchildren, Adriana and Sophia; many nieces and nephews and God children.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Panagia Prousiotissa Greek Orthodox Monastery in Troy, NC. Interment will follow at Panagia Prousiotissa Greek Orthodox Monastery Cemetery, Troy NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in her memory to Panagia Prousiotissa Greek Orthodox Monastery, 404 Warner Rd, Troy, NC 27371 or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203
Please join us in prayer for the repose of her soul, that she may dwell among the Spirits of the Righteous made perfect in faith and abide forever in the glorious light of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the embrace of God the Father, and the bliss of the Holy Spirit.
