Van White McGill, age 85, of Asheboro died Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Asheboro.
Mr. McGill was a native of Randolph County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of City Cycle Sales and Service and was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Dorothy Key McGill.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Willie Key of Asheboro; friend, Nancy Maxwell of Asheboro; nieces, Martha McCollum and husband Tim of Randleman, Betty Staley and husband Ron of Liberty, Linda Staley of Sanford; nephew, Jimmy Key and wife Freda of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be at Randolph Memorial Park.
