Una Moore Burns

Una Moore Burns, age 90, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Burns was born in Kernersville, NC on August 4, 1927 to John and Annie Hedgecock Moore.  Una formerly ran a day care from her home and was known to the kids as "Grandma."  Una was a member of Giles Chapel United Methodist Church.  Una enjoyed crocheting, her flowers, and working word search puzzles.  She loved collecting Santa Clause's. In addition to her parents, Una was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Burns, and son-in-law, Eddie Grant.

She is survived by her sons, Sam Burns of Asheboro, Scott Burns of Bolivia, and Jimmy Burns and wife Wendy of Newport; daughter, Lou Ann Grant of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kelly S. Robertson and husband Gary, Michael Burns and wife Jessi, Amanda Jones and husband Jeremy, Stacy Swindle and husband Ricky, Kevin Burns, and Eric Grant and wife April; great grandchildren, Madison Boyd, Nora, Holden, Davis, Mackey, and Judith Burns, Cameron and Kaitlyn Jones, Emory, Karson, and Ariebella Swindle, Ellie Burns, and Emma Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 1:30-3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at the home of Sam Burns, 1316 Meadowbrook Rd.,Asheboro.  Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lee officiating.  Burial will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Randolph Memorial Park.
