Tracy James Maness, age 85, of 448 Eldorado Rd., Asheboro died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Adrian Pugh and Rev. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Maness was a native of Randolph County and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving mostly in Germany and in Normandy on D-Day. He was retired from Klopman Mills after 50 years of service and was a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Luck Maness; daughter, Mary Cribb of Asheboro, NC; sons, Larry L.J. Maness of Asheboro, NC, Barry Maness of Asheboro, NC; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Madelyn Davis of Asheboro, NC; and brother, Howard Maness of Asheboro, NC.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and other times at his home.
