Tony Alton Chappell

Tony Alton Chappell, age 53, of SunBridge Nursing Home, High Point, formerly of Troy, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Mr. Chappell was born November 2, 1954 at Montgomery County, NC the son of the late Elisha and Dorothy (Kiger) Chappell. He was of the Baptist faith and a former welder. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son: Christopher Wayne Chappell of Troy; two sisters: Delores Morse of Mt. Gilead, Marie Mauldin of Candor; five brothers: Roney Chappell, Tommy Chappell, J. C. Chappell, all of Troy, Jimmy Chappell of Candor, Ricky Chappell of Sanford; 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7pm at Lomax Memorial Baptist Church, Correll Rd., Troy with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Chip Bryant and Pastor Larry Beaver officiating. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
