Tommy G. Clark, age 74, of 407 W. Kivett St., Asheboro died Friday, May 28, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 31, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church with Rev. David Hunt and Rev. Jack L. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Clark was a native of Randolph County and retired from Energizer after 40 years of service. He was an avid Duke Blue Devil fan, golfer and was head of the Umpire Association for many years. Mr. Clark loved to work in his yard, garden and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda Clark, daughter, Kim Robbins, brother, Vann Clark and sister Erma Hooker.
He is survived by sons, Chad G. Clark of Asheboro, Dwain Lee Clark and his wife Ann of Asheboro; daughter, Janet Clark Fisher and her husband Harry of Badin Lake; grandchildren, Derek Clark and his wife Bobbie, Tyler Robbins, Shawna Heaton, Cerea Heaton all of Asheboro, Ashlee Mullinax of Concord, Jaime Fisher of South Carolina and Kyle Fisher of Indiana; great grandchild, Delaney and Brynnan Clark; sister, Diane Eggelston of Asheboro; brother, Jack L. Clark of Seagrove.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
