Thomas Joseph Sullivan, Jr.

Thomas Joseph "Tom" Sullivan, Jr., age 68, of Liberty died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur, Ramseur. Mr. Sullivan was born in Hackensack, NJ and was raised in Burlington, NC. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Sullivan was a security guard with Proctor and Gamble and worked for Randolph County Mental Health in the DWI/Substance Abuse Program for 14 years. On July 1, 2006 he started the Tom Sullivan's DWI Substance Abuse Service in Asheboro which will continue to operate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Maloney Sullivan and sister, Judy Sullivan. He is survived by his special friend, Becky Young of Asheboro; brothers, Richard Sullivan of Burlington, Dan Sullivan of Washington, DC, Tim Sullivan of Burlington; sisters, Betsy Mooney of Burlington, Jane Morton of Burlington, Erin Musser of Wilmington. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
