Thomas Earl Fox, Jr., age 83, of Asheboro died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First E&R United Church of Christ, 221 Cliff Road, Asheboro with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Fox was born in Asheboro on August 27, 1931 to Thomas Earl and Edith Ketner Fox. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of First E&R United Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sisters Sarah Fox and Patsy Williams. Tom was always willing to help others. He was a giving, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Tom loved bowling and bowled until the age of 73. He enjoyed having breakfast with his friends at The Biscuit Company.
He is survived by his wife, Linda B. Fox; daughter, Vonda Sparks of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brandy Newell, Scott Sparks, Adam Sparks all of Asheboro; and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
