Thomas "Tommy" Lee Davis, 83, of Randleman died February 20, 2016 at his home.
He is survived by son: Rodney Davis and wife Betsy Davis of Randleman; grandchildren: Jessica Davis of the home and Adam Davis of Liberty; sisters: Rachael Lewis and husband James of Asheboro, Ann Cole and husband Tommy of Asheboro; brother: Robert "Bob" Davis and wife Ruby of Eleazer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Glendon Davis, mother: Addie Sheffield and brother: Eugene Davis.
Tommy was a faithful member of Randleman Friends Meeting and enjoyed being a member of the church's building crew, helping with numerous functions and fundraisers like cooking funnel cakes at NASCAR Days. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his shop making all kinds of wood working treasures like canes, walking sticks and clocks, and loved his hobby of beekeeping. He especially liked sharing these special times with his grandchildren, getting them to help and passing on his knowledge to them. He retired from McRae Roofing and served in the U.S. National Guard for 14 years.
The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Pugh Funeral Home 437 Sunset Avenue Asheboro, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Wade Craven officiating.
