Thomas Lee Collins, age 79, of Sophia died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Collins was a native of Stokes County and a member of Bailey's Grove Baptist Church. He was a retired long distance truck driver and was a yard sale and flea market buff. He is survived by his wife, Hester Bullins Collins, sons, Harold Lee Collins of Asheboro, NC, Benny Ray Collins and his wife Elaine of Asheboro, NC, Randy Odell Collins and his wife Greta of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Brenda Ann Collins, Vanessa Powers and her husband Barney, and Patricia Collins all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Harvey G. Collins and his wife Diane of Allentown, PA; sisters, Annie Mae Cheek of Mebane, NC, Sadie Collins of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Harold Lee Collins II, Rodney Collins, Heidi Hill, Benny Ray Ferrell, Bradley Collins, Wendy Collins, Randy Collins, Jr., Jennifer Collins, David Lemonds, Jr., Wesley Lemonds, Lisa Powers, Lance Powers and Joseph Lee Hodges; 24 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, other times at the home of Brenda and Patty Collins.
