Thomas Bailey

Thomas Jerald "Buzzy" Bailey, age 61, of 2261 Race Track Road, Sophia died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Bailey was born April 28, 1949 the son of Harvey and Ruby Payne Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a native of Welch, WV and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Caraway Baptist and had worked in the coal mines of West Virginia and at United Brass of Randleman, NC. He is survived by: son and his wife, John and Cynthia Bailey of Deltona, FL; daughter and her husband, Candace and Tony Looney of Charleston, WV; daughter and her husband, Leslie and Dave Wolfe of Randleman, NC; daughter: Misty Bailey; son: Jeremy Bailey and daughter: Brieana Bailey all of Sophia, NC; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; five sisters: Carolyn Thornsberry of Grundy, VA; Patsy Mullins of Sophia, NC; Debbie Coleman of Sophia, NC; Lisa Kennedy of Federalsburg, MD; and Cindy Putkammer of ME. The family will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Living Waters Baptist Church, Race Track Road, Sophia, NC. The funeral will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the church with Rev. Wayne Pugh officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
