Theresa Robinson Messersmith

Theresa Jean Robinson Messersmith 68, of Orrum, North Carolina passed away on Friday.

October 11, 2024, at Bladen County Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. 

Theresa was born on August 14, 1956, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Leon and Rachel York Robinson. Theresa was a graduate of Asheboro High School. Theresa later retired from the Textile industry as a machine operator and was of the Baptist faith. 

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring sister, mother, and granny. She helped care for her mother who passed in March 2024. Theresa was active in the Lumbee Indian organizations around Robeson County. She loved the beach and trips to the mountains of North Carolina. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, George Potts, and Geronimo Ryan Rawlings and ex-husband Emory Messersmith.

Left to cherish her memory are brothers; David Robinson and Clifton (Leana) Robinson both of Asheboro. Two grandchildren.
