- Theodore Joseph “Ted” Bell, age 71, of Asheboro formerly from Chicago, IL passed away on March 2, 2025 at Randolph Hospice House.
- Ted was employed with Black & Decker for 19 years, where he worked to develop patents for new machinery on which he trained employees on operating and maintaining. He built a long and dedicated career as an owner and operator of his own business for 10 years where he took great pride in his work.
- In his spare time, he had a passion for fishing, watching the Panthers, bird watching, and he adored music, especially Elvis. But most importantly he loved his family.
- In the final days of his life, Ted was surrounded by his loving family.
- He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Brown (Scott) of Trinity; sons, Ryan Bell (Allison) of Asheboro and Cody Bell (Skye) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Noah, Camden, Melody, Haven, Shannon, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Jr., Cody, Jr., and Sabrina; great grandson, Easton; and sister, Rhonda Bell.

- He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Murray, sisters, Donna Castro and Cindy Goethel, and brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Bell.

- The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Farmer Missionary Baptist Church, 4566 Dunbar Bridge Road in Asheboro with Daniel Dalaney officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
- His resilience, wisdom, and compassion live on through them and through the many lives he touched.
- Ted leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his family and loved ones.
- Ted will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His life was a testament to the power of love, family, kindness and values that he instilled in everyone he knew. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
