Thaney Reece Lambe

Thaney Reece Lambe, age 92, of Sophia , died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Clapp's Nursing Center, Inc., Pleasant Garden. Mrs. Lambe was born July 8, 1917 in Dobson, NC the daughter of John T and Mallie Wood Reece. Mrs. Lambe was a native of Surry County and a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Thaney was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Lambe, Jr., brothers, Gratice Reece, Bauzie Reece, Fred Reece and sister, Josephine Caudle. She is survived by daughter: Hilda Wright and her husband, Jimmy of Eden, NC; son, Dave Lambe and his wife, Linda of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Gregory L. Wright, of Eden, Sharon W. Billingsley, of Shallote, David L. Lambe, Jr., and his wife Annette of Winston-Salem, and Kevin A. Lambe and his wife, Tracy, of Greensboro; great grandchildren; Brandon Wright, of Raleigh, Cody and Baron Billingsley, of Shallotte, Josh A. Lambe, of Winston- Salem, Kallee and Kaleb Lambe, of Greensboro; sister: Faye Farlow and her husband, Norman of Sophia, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, June 18, 2010 from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Jon Ferguson and Rev. Jeff Reece officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Student and Family Ministry, 132 Gum St., Randleman, NC 27317
