Terry Bowden Robbins, age 68, of Asheboro died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Robbins was born February 27, 1950 the son of Bowden and Annie Mae Small Robbins.
Terry was a native of Randolph County and an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a longtime electrical contractor and a member, for 44 years, of Amity Hills Baptist Church. Terry loved God, his family, his church, his country and hunting. His family enjoyed many times fishing, hunting and camping together. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his father, Terry is preceded in death by one brother: Larry Robbins.
He is survived by his wife: Vanessa Parker Robbins; son and his wife: Jason and Jamie Robbins of Asheboro, NC; daughter and her husband: Amanda and Jonathan Hamilton of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren: Rachel, Hope and Matthew Hamilton; mother: Annie Mae Robbins of Asheboro, NC; sister: Janice Linthicum of Randleman, NC; sister and her husband: Barbara and Charlie Foster of Denton, NC; brother and his wife: Kenny and Shelia Robbins of Asheboro, NC; sister-in-law: Kinza Robbins of Robbins, NC; and a host of extended family and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 13, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of his daughter, Amanda, 214 Otis Road, Asheboro. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at East Side Baptist Church, 1616 E. Dixie Dr., Asheboro with Pastor Barry Wall, Jonathan Hamilton and Jason Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
