Terry Lee Morgan, age 73, of Asheboro died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1109 McDowell Rd., Asheboro with Bishop Dale Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mr. Morgan was born in Cabarrus County on July 2, 1941. Terry was the former owner of Davis Tire and was retired from East Coast Tire Distributors. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Harris Turner. Terry was an avid trumpet player, most recently playing in the Randolph County Community Band. He loved sports, especially golf, but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Goble Morgan; son, Russell Todd Morgan and wife Lorie Ann of Half Moon Bay, CA; daughters, Tammy Morgan Brinkley and husband Dale of Asheboro, Jodi Morgan Chisholm and husband Chris of Landrum, SC; grandchildren, Logan and Jenna Brinkley, Molly and Emi Chisholm; and cousin, Janie Morris and husband Benson of Troy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at his home.
