Teresa Sue Cooper Poindexter

Teresa Sue Cooper Poindexter, age 61, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Poindexter was born in Randolph County on January 30, 1957 to Warren and Maxine Cranford Cooper.  She was a member of Bible Truth Baptist Church.  Teresa was formerly employed with Deep River Dye and with Goodyear for 17 years.  In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her son, Jason Morris.  Teresa was a Christian lady who loved her church, her family, all children, and animals.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Tommy L. Poindexter; sons, Pastor Jeff Harmon (Karen) of Franklinville, Gary Harmon of Asheboro, Pastor Michael Poindexter (Rikki Beth) of Asheboro, Stephan Poindexter (Kim) of Julian, and Kevin Poindexter (Ashley) of Trinity; 11 grandchildren; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Cooper (Vivian) of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 12 noon-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at the home of Jeff and Karen Harmon, 556 Faith Rock Road in Franklinville.  Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Harmon officiating.  Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
