Teresa Anne Greene

Teresa Anne Greene, age 43, of 1660 Pekin Rd., Candor, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at her home.Teresa was born June 11, 1965 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of David J. and Betsy Holmes Greene. She operated Greene's Mobile Home Parts and Service, worked for the Montgomery County Board of Elections and the Hwy 24/27 BP. She was a member of Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. Teresa loved all and was loved by many. No stray animal or friend need ever fear for a safe harbor. She never met a stranger. Her love for others is witnessed by the love and honor so many have returned. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. In the springtime, even flowers lived and thrived at her touch; she touched a special place in the heart of all she knew. In the true spirit of Jesus, she cared for all who came her way.In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter: Tosha Lamonds of Troy; step-son: Trey Lamonds of Star; two sisters: Deanne Greene Brown and husband, Kelsey of Troy, Carolyn Greene Rector and husband, William Gardner of Rockingham; two brothers: Sammy Greene and wife, Jeannie of Asheboro, Jeff Greene of Candor; nieces and nephews: Jeffery Greene, Jr. and wife Brandi, Josh Rector, Alex Lemons, Brittany Lemons and Lauren Brown; great nieces and nephews: Colton Greene and Aubrianna Greene.The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pekin Rd., Candor with Rev. Mark Roberson and Rev. Hughes Chaney officiating.
