Teresa Mize Carter

Teresa Mize Carter, age 56, of Asheboro passed away on October 18th, 2023 at the Randolph Hospice House.

Teresa was born in Asheboro on September 11th, 1967 to Malcolm and Jacklene Mize. She graduated from Asheboro High School in 1985. In 1987, she earned her cosmetology license from Asheboro Beauty School. Teresa was a hair stylist for 35 years and had owned and operated Shear Artistry Styling Salon since 1994. Teresa was a great and loving Nana and loved being at the beach with her family. Teresa was a member of Trindale Baptist and worked alongside her husband, Billy, in the youth ministry for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Courtney Pineda, and son-in-law Jose Pineda, of Greensboro and Kamryn Carter of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Olivia, Carter, and Kaesen; husband, Billy Carter, of Asheboro; brother, Michael Mize, and wife Melanie Mize, of Asheboro; nieces, Krista, Leslie, and Brittney; and her fur babies, Allie, Cooper, and Jax.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22nd from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A memorial service will follow on Sunday, October 22nd at 3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Moore officiating.
